Christopher J. Moore
Member, Christopher J. Moore joined the firm in 1989 upon graduating magna cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law. Mr. Moore entered the legal practice having spent over 10 years as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Idaho.
Mr. Moore is licensed to practice in both Idaho and Washington. His practice focuses primarily on advising individuals and companies about personal and business planning, as well as wealth management and preservation. Mr. Moore’s practice includes real property transactions, estate planning, probate, trust creation and administration, elder law, as well as business formation and development.
Mr. Moore holds several accreditations and distinctions recognizing his skills and training in that practice. He is an Accredited Estate Planner® and holds an Estate Planning Law Specialist certification from the Estate Law Specialists Board, Inc., the only organization authorized by the American Bar Association and the Idaho State Bar to issue certifications in estate planning in the State of Idaho. Mr. Moore is not only certified by the Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., he is a past director and past-President of that organization. Mr. Moore is also a past director and past president of the Taxation, Probate and Trust Law practice section of the Idaho State Bar Association.
Mr. Moore dedicates significant time pursuing the interests of the LC Valley. He has spoken to various groups, including continuing education classes for lawyers, on topics related to estate and trust taxation, estate planning, succession planning, and Medicaid eligibility and recovery. He is a past board member and Chairman of Opportunities Unlimited, Inc., an Idaho non-profit corporation serving people with disabilities and is the current Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Endowment Trust of the Boys and Girls Club of the Lewis-Clark Valley, Inc. Mr. Moore serves on the Board of the Lewis-Clark State College Foundation and serves as the Lodge Secretary for the Lewiston Lodge #896 BPOE USA, Inc.
Mr. Moore received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho in Business in 1975. He practiced as a Certified Public Accountant in Idaho from 1975 to 1986, primarily in the areas of taxation and business planning, and currently holds an inactive license.
In his spare time, Mr. Moore enjoys dabbling in the stock market, target shooting, photography, bicycling and traveling with his wife, Pam, to places where they can SCUBA dive and snorkel. Mr. Moore holds a PADI certification as an Advanced Open Water Diver.
